Tutor-Saliba to be awarded Pier A West project
Long Beach, CA (June 24, 2008) Tutor-Saliba Corporation was the low bidder for Pier A West / Area 2 Interim / Source Removal Action. This $67 million project consists of construction of three access roads and widening of existing Shore Road; construction of a new parking lot; reuse of non-contaminated material; disposal of contaminated material from 19 below grade sumps; disposal of contaminated groundwater; installation and maintenance of two multiphase extraction and treatment systems; import of replacement fill material; storm water management systems; storm water detention basins and system; utilities; temporary parking lot and marina facilities; fencing; and hydroseeding.
“This represents a significant opportunity with the Port of Long Beach and and a timely opportunity to transition our civil operations from the LAX 25L Runway Removal and Replacement Contract that was just completed,” Jack Frost COO/Executive Vice President.
